I'm not talking about Halloween here. I have never gotten upset at a store before, so it was a surprise to find myself consumed with thoughts of revenge Tuesday night. I thought about how I would find other places to buy furniture, and convince everyone I knew to boycott the store. Only buy Wal-Mart furniture from now on because that store has such high morals and everything...j/k. Apparently no one at the East Palo Alto Ikea has control over ordering new merchandise. Also they can't put anything on hold so you get it as soon as the item comes in. Instead they tell you to check their website which says the item is in-stock, when in reality it's not. Because their system says they have the item, they won't get any more. What happened to customer service??? Why did the operator put me on hold when I asked to talk to the manager, and then take off without telling the next person filling her shift anything about me? Just give me my couch cover already!!...

Other things I dislike about Ikea:
--no exits; you're trapped and must march endlessly thru every dept in the entire store
--no windows or doors in sight; gives me the claustrophobic creeps
--way too much sleek, slick funrniture with no soul
--no sales people available...ever!
I say make your own futon cover out of a sheet; no one will ever know. ;-)
Ikea...
Another pronunciation would be:
Ick-key

Hypocrites, hypocrites, have ye any lies?
Does it occur to anyone that lower prices mean lower quality/facilities/service? You pay for what you get for.
Long live Ikea.
On my only trip to an Ikea store I thought it was giant commercial maze. There were winding pathways and so many things to see and buy. It was overwhelming. No wait, I 'm thinking of Disneyland-nevermind.
Well said Lothar. Well said. You make for what you say for.
