Congratulations President Obama

It was a historic day for...me actually. This is the first presidential election I've voted in! I was only one month short of voting age in 2000, and then I was a missionary in Japan in 2004. I kind of doubt I would have voted either time even if circumstances had been different. I was pretty clueless and apathetic about politics up until about two years ago-ish. Not that I know everything now, but I know a lot more about current events and politics due to not being in school anymore! How ironic is that?
I feel so privileged to have so many rights and be able to vote for our leaders and on our laws. I'll have to teach my boy to do the same.
Oh, the coveted sticker.

He is so cute! I love that picture and his jacket. This as also the first election I voted in and the first time I've really paid attention to politics.

Yeah for voting! It does feel good to have a say, doesn't it? Your little guy is so cute! He is very photogenic...keep posting those cute pictures!

It's so funny...you know my family. I honestly can't remember a political discussion my entire growing up! Then I got married. And Steve corrupted me. I hate politics, but I've learned I have some very strong opinions about it! I love my country, I love the amazing ideals that it was founded on. I'm glad I got to have my say, and I plan to keep having my say. That is the true beauty of our system.

And, I love that picture! Aidan came home with an "I voted" sticker. Why didn't I think to take a picture?!

Hi Nene...

That is one cute future democrat.

Don't tell anyone...(especially Peter, haha) I actually voted for Obama too.

Sometimes the liberal hippie of the 60's comes out in me...
